GKV Philosophy
GKV Architects sees each new project as an exciting challenge. Instead of simply maintaining a specific aesthetic throughout our Work, we take our design cues from the needs of our Client. We strive for an optimal relationship between our Client’s program and the existing conditions, the climate, and the local culture. This helps us to establish guidelines with relation to context, scale, site, detail and materials for each project. We are a design-oriented firm, while our projects respect the basics of Proper Budgeting, Environmental Responsibility, Code Compliance, Safety, Clarity, Lasting Durability and Flexibility. Our direction for a project is not driven by real estate or architecture; planning directions are formed in response to our Client’s established business plans. Ultimately, we feel it is our responsibility to create a design that is potentially provocative yet comfortable within its context that both our Client and our firm are proud of and confident will stand the test of time.
