In Memory of Berkhan Eminsoy

It is with our deepest sorrow that we share the news of the death of our former colleague Berkhan Eminsoy, who we lost in the recent earthquake tragedy in Turkey. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family. We have all lost a wonderful friend.

Berkhan moved from Turkey to the United States to further his education and pursue a professional degree in Architecture. Berkhan received his Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2013 and received his Masters in Architecture degree at Columbia University in 2020. He joined GKV in the years between his undergraduate and graduate education.

It was during those years that we were fortunate to have him as part of our staff. His contributions to our office extended beyond professional. He was a talented, hard-working, and conscientious designer; a fun-loving and enjoyable workmate; and a warm, caring, and kind-hearted person as well.  We will miss him.
