TEN23, designed for Equity Residential, is a 12-story residential development adjacent to the High Line, with 111 luxury residential apartments, including studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units. GKV Architects was hired for both the base building design and the design of all interior and exterior public spaces. The building was designed to maximize the efficiency of the units and to create light open units with an expansive interior feeling. The exterior windows are full height and hyper insulated with space age materials; some transparent and some translucent. The effect is a beautifully lit and surprisingly open feel. The lobby and units were all designed with a warm, clean modern sensibility.  The terraces and gardens included private terraces, cabanas, an outdoor movie space, an outdoor lawn and grill area and an outdoor shower.
