SERVICES FOR THE UNDERSERVED (S:US)
New office space for the non-profit organization S:US (Services for the Underserved) was created on two floors of the Arsenal Building in the Garment District. Open work areas, private offices, conference rooms, pantries and a reception area were arranged to create a series of diverse environments. Bright and airy open work areas were created by harnessing natural daylight and exposing existing structural elements to reveal the existing qualities of the space. Glass fronts between private offices and open areas enhance a collaborative working environment. A muted palette of materials creates a minimal subdued atmosphere. This aesthetic is contrasted by finishing selected walls and surfaces with patterns, textures, and colors that give certain spaces a unique identity.
