Richard Woodward, LEED AP BD+C
Principal
Richard Woodward, a Principal of Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel, Architects, joined the firm in 1999, bringing years of architectural and practical building experience from positions in Europe and his native New Zealand. As a LEED AP, he has nourished a passion for rational, environmentally sensitive, and energy-efficient design. He integrates these traits into all projects that he leads, which range from new affordable and market-rate residential buildings, and a mixed blend of dynamic office fit-out projects. Richard was registered by the New Zealand Institute of Architects in 1997, and New York State in 2023. A keen beekeeper, Richard also dabbles in urban planning and construction management with his Brooklyn bee colonies.
