New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) offers professional degrees, in more than 50 fields of study. By 2028, New York Institute of Technology will become one of the most significant academic, scientific, and economic higher education assets to New York. As their Architect, GKV is helping NYIT to develop that vision. GKV has been selected to design a diverse mix of Advanced Research Laboratories, the crown jewel of the campus. Using an interdisciplinary and entrepreneurial approach the building will allow the school to promote its most innovative laboratories under one roof. Faculty and students will be able to tackle today’s challenges in laboratories including Robotics, Motion Capture, Biomedical and Life Science, Cybersecurity, VR, and Scanning and Imaging Cores. The school’s new vision is also supported through renovation of traditional study halls, classrooms and labs, like Chemical labs and a Biomedical Engineering and Nano Fab Lab (BSL-2) and a health center.
