Located in the vicinity of Columbus Circle, in New York City, the New York Institute of Technology Auditorium on Broadway is a state-of-the-art theater used for lectures, conferences, movie screenings, film festivals as well as events for NYIT and external communities. The site, formerly occupied by the deteriorating Clearview Cinema, required a new seating plan, revised egress and ADA updates. Completed on an aggressive 4.5-month design-to-completion schedule, the 262-seat auditorium features a re-designed cafe, restrooms, a pre-function area, green rooms, mechanical rooms and a projector room on the lower level, which can be reached by stairs, escalator or the atrium elevator from the street level lobby.
