Miguel Valcarcel, AIA
Principal
Miguel is a founding principal of Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel, Architects, DPC. His expertise in management and technical applications is a strong contributing factor in establishing GKV Architects as a firm that produces projects of quality. He was recently the principal-in-charge of two major headquarters consolidation projects for City agencies and the adaptive reuse and historical preservation of the Beekman Hotel in NYC and the Graduate Hotel in New Haven, CT. Miguel has also served as a guest instructor at the Parsons School of Design and participated in several round table discussions and panels. And like Mies van der Rohe, Miguel enjoys scotch and fine cigars.
